PANTHERS LACROSSE CLUB CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF UGANDA INDEPENDENCE πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬

In the 11th year and the oldest club in Uganda and Africa respectively, the team joined hands with cadres and new recruits to compete in the just concluded Moyo Sixes Independence cup on 8/10/2022 hosted at Kyambogo cricket grounds.

With 3 men's teams and 2 women's, Panthers only managed tight games that both ended in losses.

OPISI RONALD - MVP 2022 MOYO LACROSSE INDEPENDENCE CUP TOURNAMENT

West Nile native, based player stuns opponents with a test of local grassroots lacrosse development sauce from Moyo Lacrosse Program which has 5 academy's in total.

The reason I love lacrosse is because anyone or everyone despite skill levels can always jump in and make a real impact.

Opisi Ronald did that exactly, jumping in with us on select Team A and boom, getting himself on the scoreboard.

We haven't talked since then but I wish to think this will be a turning point towards his commitment to the game and wanting to continue scoring such and even more thrilling net bursters in future for club and country

The tournament was organised to collect and gather used equipment to assist further with the 5 academy's that target youthful players.

What a memorable way to celebrate 60 years of Uganda independence from the imperial colonial exploiters of the human and natural resources πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬

Jinja, Nakifuma teams for the inaugural Little Lacrosse League

Kids Lacrosse Africa steps forward to keep youth academy's competitive through the calendar year by adding the LLL.

With a future plan to engage all academy teams from allover Uganda, teams from Nakifuma, Jinja (Big Dogs, KLA) will be the first to test drive the new development.

After a great tournament in Ireland by the Uganda U21 Men's team, so much focus on youth academy's and programs is aimed at creating the next pool of well refined players to take over the positions of the many that will graduate to the senior men's national team for 2023.
