Team Israel (Senior Men) and Uganda U19(Women and Men) East Africa 7's Champions.

#EastAfrica 7's lacrosse championships 2nd Edition Jinja-Uganda 12/8/2017.
The Uganda Lacrosse Association led by President Jaffari Makanda Ibrahim together with his executive and organizing committee were the celebrants on this day as the global lacrosse community witnessed the largest lacrosse event in modern history of the Africa Lacrosse expansion program.
Israel’s team Chris Friedman,Jon Rathauser (Captain), Mathew Flappan, Jake Siberlicht, Ryan, Eric Fischer and Kevin Mwangi were the team to beat as they won the senior men category beating Uganda 1-9 in the main event.

KENYA LACROSSE MANAGER STORM TRENTHAM PROMISES A BIG SURPRISE AGAINST OPPONENTS.

EAST AFRICA LACROSSE 7'S IS OUR SHOW COME 12/8/2017; "KENYA LACROSSE MANAGER STORM TRENTHAM PROMISES A BIG SURPRISE AGAINST OPPONENTS".
The Kenya Lacrosse team arrived Uganda yesterday evening and held their first training session at MUBS Grounds Nakawa today morning.
Twesiime Liberty[PRO-Uganda Lacrosse Association] welcomes Kenya's Storm Trentham[Manager] and Douglas Nyakana[Coach].
The contigent of over 30 people led by team manager Storm Trentham from UK and Nyakana Douglas the lead Coach was grateful for the safe arrivals and the warm welcome from the Makerere University Business School Administrators led by Sports Tutor Mr Hillary Kimbuge. 
 
Kenya U-19 team[Defending champions].
Kenya will be joined by team UK (Senior Women),team Israel(Senior Men), Rwanda and Uganda to compete for the top prizes in the 7 different categories including club championships and junior youth categories for boys and girls.
Twesiime Liberty and Storm Trentham live on Urban Tv Uganda.
While appearing on GameOn live television show Kenya lacrosse team managern Storm promised huge surprises as team Kenya looks to retain the U-19 girls lacrosse championship trophy that they won in 2016.

SAFETY TOP AGENDA AT THE EAST AFRICA LACROSSE 7s 12/08/2017.

EAST AFRICA LACROSSE 7s 2017 RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. RULES
Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Rules and Regulations, with modifications as published below.
See the Uganda Lacrosse League 7s Rules Summary for the men’s rules and regulations.
2. WHO MAY PARTICIPATE
All association teams, clubs, able individuals, international teams/clubs, national and FIL affiliated
associations are welcome to participate in the East African 7s.
3. AGE GROUPS
The age group structures as established by ULU will govern, as modified below. All players including
players in the Guest teams must have been born on or after a specified date for their age classification
U19 EAL7s MEN: Born after August 1st 1997
U19 EA7s WOMEN: Born after August 1st 1997
MEN: Any able male player over 17years old
WOMEN: Any able female player over 17years old
4. FORMAT OF PLAY
U19 Women: 12v12. See EAL7s Championship Schedule. All games ending in a tie will be decided by a
Braveheart
U19 Men: 7v7. TBD
Women: 12v12. See EAL7s Championship Schedule. All games ending in a tie will be decided by a
Braveheart
Men: 7v7. TBD
EAL7s 2017 COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
5. GAME LENGTH
U19 Women: 20minute halves, running time, 8minute breaks. Only three 2minute time out will be
allowed in each half per team. The clock will be paused during a time out or serious injury.
U19 Men: TBD
Women: 20 minute halves, running time, 8minute breaks. Only three 2minute time out will be allowed in
each half per team. The clock will be paused during a timeout or serious injury.
Men: TBD.
A rest/rehydration break will be called in case of high temperatures or high heat for all games.
6. TIES
In case of a tie at Fulltime, all games will be decided by a Braveheart. There will be no substitutions of a
Braveheart player. In case of serious injury or exhaustion, that player will forfeit the game to the
opponents.
7. PUNCTUALITY
All teams MUST be available at the fields 40minutes before commencement of the EAL7s. All teams must
have fully registered with the Officials table 15 minutes before their game. Any team that arrives more
than 5 minutes late to the field of play in the time allotted for their game will be deducted 3 points,
those points will be given to the opponents.
8. FORFEIT
A team may forfeit a game for any reason to their opponent. Any team which decides to abandon a
game for any reason will be deemed to forfeit that game.
9. PROTESTS
All decisions made by the referees and the EA7s committee are final and binding. No protests are
allowed. A referee may expel any participant for what he deems is unsportsman-like or anti-social
behavior.
EAL7s 2017 COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
10. UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT

All teams’ players must have the same or very similar color of jersey. All players must have visible
numbers clearly written at the back of their uniforms.
All Men’s players must wear; Lacrosse Helmet, Lacrosse Chest protection, Lacrosse Gloves. No player will
be allowed on the field without this basic equipment. Uganda Lacrosse Union strongly advises players to
wear the full FIL recommended equipment for safety.
All goalies must wear the full goalkeeper’s gear as recommended by FIL.
11. REFEREE REPORT AND STATISTICS
Only Goals, Assists, Turnovers, Faceoff wins/loss, Saves will be recorded. These statistics will determine
individual awards

12. TROPHIES
 Trophy/Cups for 1st place, medals for 1st place in all categories
 Medals for 1st and 2nd place teams in all categories
 Medals for highest goal scorer in all categories
 Medals for best midfielder in all categories
 Medals for best defender in all categories
 Medals for best goal keeper in all categories
 Fair play trophy for one team
 Participation certificates for all teams
Uganda Lacrosse Union and the EAL7s organizing committee reserve the rights to make adjustments to
the rules and regulations. Any changes to the above rules and regulations will be communicated to team
leaders immediately.
